•From kids to adults, everyone’s favorite is the crispy and hot NanKhatai. Which you have bought from most of the shops but do you know that you can easily make the famous NanKhatai sold in the markets at home in the oven that too easily in the taste just like the market.

INGREDIENTS FOR NANKHATAI.

•Refined flour – 200 grams

•Semolina(suji) – 50 grams

•Baking Powder – 1 tsp

•Powdered sugar – 200 grams

•Ghee – 200 ml

•Cardamom powder – 1 tsp

•Preparation time: 10 minutes

•Cooking time: 16 minutes

•Total time: 26 minutes

~Method:-

STEP 1: Knead the flour and semolina dough.

Take a big bowl and put sifted refined flour, fine semolina, a little salt and a little baking soda in the bowl and mix all the mixture well with a spoon, then put ghee, sugar powder and cardamom powder in it. Mix all the mixture twice with a spoon and now do not start whipping the mixture with a spoon and make a soft paste by beating the mixture well so that the NanKhatai becomes fluffy and feels soft to eat. After that take some dry flour or semolina and put it in the bowl and after adding all the mixture knead a hard dough. Keep in mind that the dough has to be kept hard.

STEP 2: Make round balls of the dough.

Now apply some oil in your hands and break small balls of the dough and make round balls and small Nankhatai by placing them in the middle of the palms. If you want, you can also make a small hole in the middle of the Nankhatai and keep chopped almonds in the middle. Similarly prepare all the Nankhatai and keep it in an oiled plate. You can also use butter paper to keep it.

STEP 3: Roast the Nankhatai in the oven.

Turn on the oven and set it to 350 degree Fahrenheit and place the Nankhatai plate in the oven. Let the Nankhatai roast in the oven for about 15 – 18 minutes. After 15 minutes, when you open the oven, the Nankhatai will be crispy, puffed and lightly golden brown from both the sides. Take out the NanKhatai plate and break the NanKhatai from the middle and see if the NanKhatai becomes soft and breaks, then NanKhatai is ready.

Q. Can I skip cardamom powder?

A. Yes, if you do not like cardamom at all. In this, cardamom has been used only for fragrance.

Q. Why refrigerate Nankhatai flour?

A. Because by cooling the flour, ghee gets frozen in the baking. When the Nankhatai is roasted in the oven, the ghee will not melt with a hit and the Nankhatai will become good.
